When you own your home, this means that the unforeseen event caused a total loss to your primary residence. A total loss occurs when the replacement cost exceeds the prior value of your home. When you rent your home, permanent displacement occurs when an unforeseen event forces you to permanently move from your leased rental home or apartment.

Eligibility Criteria
You must be permanently displaced from your home due to an unforeseen event.
Application Requirement
Apply online using the button below and provide a description of the unforeseen event and its impact on you and:
- Provide a statement with an original signature from your local association president to attest to the unforeseen event.
- A statement from your insurance provider, local, state or federal authority indicating that the unforeseen event caused a total loss to your home or
- A statement from your landlord with an original signature indicating that an unforeseen event resulting in you having to permanently move out of your rented house or apartment.

Definition of Unforeseen Event
A natural disaster, such as a fire, flood, hurricane, tornado, or earthquake; an epidemic or pandemic; an emergency as declared by a local, state, or federal authority; or any other large-scale unforeseen event as determined by the Plan Administrator in its sole discretion.
